What changes from crop to crop
Grading and sizing – count sizes for citrus and avocado, colour for capsicum and tomato, grade standards for potato and onion. Shelf-life – berries, salad and leafy greens need tight FIFO and expiry alerts; potato, onion and apples need long-term storage control. Food safety – berries, leafy vegetables and melons fall under the FSANZ primary production standard 4.2.8. Export protocols – citrus, grapes and mangoes often ship under importing-country protocols.
Producepak handles all of these in one system, so multi-crop packhouses do not need separate tools for each line.
